Last night saw the 83rd Academy Awards, hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco. As usual celebrities arrived in their best gowns/suits determined to shine on the red carpet.

The King’s Speech ‘ruled the night’ scooping 4 awards, out of 12 it was nominated for. However Inception managed to equal that number receiving best: Cinematography, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Visual Effects.

In true KMI style we’ve done a quick round up of all the best bits of night from the best dressed to the most talked about, to ensure you don’t miss out.

This outfit selection definitely drew the attention of the crowds. Anne Hathaway wore a custom made Lanvin tuxedo whilst her co-host, James Franco, donned a floor length pink gown. Both outfits are said to have been designed especially for this cross dressing stunt.

Anne Hathaway changes 8 times..
Anne Hathaway, the youngest presenter of the Oscar’s to date, managed an impressive 8 outfit changes during the night. She began on the red carpet in a stunning red, strapless dress moving her way through six others and a tuxedo, before finally finishing in a grey lace gown covered in crystals.

What’s under your dress Helen?

Helen Bonham-Carter took to the red carpet in a black velvet full length dress, however it was what was underneath that caused a stir. She lifted her dress up high enough to reveal she had tied a union jack to her calf.
