Surviving The Clocks Going Forward

Most of us look forward to British Summer Time – brighter mornings and longer evenings. But the weekend when the clocks actually change over is a different story - it’s that dreaded time when we lose an hour’s sleep and has been the cause of many ‘late’ and ‘grumpy’ arrivals to Sunday morning events. Come on, admit it – we’re not the only ones it’s ever happened to, are we??
The idea came from William Willet, a keen horse-rider, who often would ride during the early hours of the morning. Whilst doing this he noticed almost all blinds were down, yet the sun was up and out, it was then that the idea of daylight saving time first occurred to him. Since then, 1916, we have been putting our clocks forward in spring and backwards in autumn.
We’ve decided this year we’re going to try and be prepared for the time change..well as best as we can.
Step 1
Ensure we have something to wake us up on Sunday morning..

-->
Our tip – use a refreshing body wash like Naked White Ginger Body Wash. The thought of this zingy freshness will mean you’ll be able to drag yourself out of bed and into the shower, which will hopefully leave you feeling wide awake.
Step 2
Incorporating some exercise into the day..

Keep your fingers crossed for the sun to stay out for the rest of the week so you can take a bit of exercise outdoors, maybe a bike ride or walking the dog in the park. When not so lucky with the weather then consider a trip to the gym. By exercising during the day it will hopefully use up some energy, tiring you out ready for a good sleep Sunday night.
Step 3
Organising everything for Monday morning on Sunday night..

With all the best efforts during the day and trying to get an early night, it’s still going to feel way to early when alarms go off on Monday morning. Whatever happens being prepared will save you plenty of time. There’s nothing worse than waking up half asleep or late and having to rush round making lunch, organising the kids etc. Hopefully with good preparation you’ll be good to go on Morning, even if you are yawning the whole morning.
We’re hoping this will help us make the weekend go a bit more smoothly - let us know how yours goes.
