Christmas is almost upon us - it’s the final rush to get everything sorted for the big day. Here at KMI we know how busy this time of year can be (especially for you party animals out there) so we’ve got a few tips on how to feel fresher and keep ploughing on looking your best!
PARTY ON:
The party season is definitely in full flow which we are sure many of you are loving. One thing we can guarantee most won’t be looking forward to, though, is the dreaded morning after the night before. Unfortunately the only proven cure is not to drink – rubbish we know. There are a few steps, however, that you can take to ease the blow.
1. Try and stick to clear alcohol - drinks such as red wine contain ingredients which are big contributors to hangovers. Generally the clearer the drink the less likely you are to suffer.
2. Do not drink on an empty stomach. Eating something (preferably carbohydrates) before and during the night slows the absorption of alcohol.
3. Make sure you are well hydrated before you go out and drink plenty when you get back, before you go to bed.
4. The next day – rest, rehydrate and avoid caffeine & alcohol. Caffeine on the eyes though could do just the trick to keep away those dark circles – try Garnier Caffeine Roll On
STRESS HEAD
It is very easy to become stressed over the holidays rushing around trying to make sure everything is done. One easy way to create more time and feel less pressured is to delegate jobs – get your family and friends helping out. You may have organised an event, but you can’t be responsible for everything. Doing so will give you more time for yourself.
Having ‘me time’ to do your own thing takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everything. It gives you time to relax, unwind and just do what you want to for an evening rather than fussing over everybody else – even if it’s just a long soak in the bath (we’d recommend Cocoa de Mer bath foam)
TIRED BUNNY
All of this fun can be exhausting! Getting at least 8 hours a night will give your body time to rest and ensure you feel fresh ready for the next day ahead. This is, of course, not always possible – but if you start to feel run down and tired get some rest in! Even 40winks in the afternoon can help – grab a face mask and keep those panda eyes away.
All of these tips will reduce stress allowing you to enjoy the Christmas break more..at the end of the day it is your holiday too!
