Chilled to the bone

We're not going to lie, some of us in the office are suffering, the cold has got "into our bones", funny that, but its causing some problems with joints and backs.

In the UK, although generally our temperatures are no where near those of the Alps or European countries during the winter, the cold and the damp can really affect peoples health. In the mountains of Austria, temperatures can reach well below freezing and with added wind chill you can sometimes be looking at -35 degrees. But the difference there is, that it is dry, it's not damp, which in the UK is generally the weather and causes problems.

So, we're considering finding some remedys such as a massage. Despite the layers of clothing we wear to keep warm, its seems that some have been tensing up their back and shoulder area and this can result in a very painful back.

Hot baths can relax the muscles and help sooth aches and pains, especially if you add special oils and salts. They can also draw out any nasty toxins in the skin.

Deep heat and warming creams will provide warmth to the muscles and joints area and your final resort is to take yourself off and have a massage.

What would be brilliant would be an emergency masseur that can rush round to your house and sort you out. There are a few mobile masseurs that can come to places of work and offices to give workers a 5 minute massage.

During winter the best advice is to keep moving, layer up with thin layers to keep yourself warm and fill yourself with hot drinks and warming soups.

So, if anyone knows a very good masseur who can pop round, let us know!
