Love it or loathe it, you can’t deny that the Lynx method of advertising is pretty memorable. The tongue in cheek concept is perfect for the male market with ads that just won’t get out of your head, but now they’re branching out—they’ve just released their first ever product for the fairer sex, Lynx Attract, and in a doubly tactful move they’ve got versions for both men and women. After 27 years they’ve given us women the chance to experience the Lynx effect for ourselves. Lynx Attract For Her is said to perfectly complement the male version, with top notes of “pomegranate, apple and blackberry, a floral heart and base notes of wood, musk and vanilla”. It’s got a sensual edge to get pulses racing, and because there are options for both sexes the brand hopes it’ll make the dating game doubly exciting. And who knows? It could do just that, and with both a Lynx Attract For Her body spray and shower gel being on offer you can up the ante with an intense Lynx hit.
So, will you have the Lynx effect? Will it be a beauty hit that stays around for years to come or will the novelty wear off pretty quickly? Who can say, but there’s one thing we’re sure about—we can’t wait for the advert! It’ll be aired from 1st February, just a couple of days away, and if it’s anything like the others there’s bound to be a whole lot of controversy floating around. Lynx even had a series of ads banned last year with their racy campaigns certainly having an impact on the body spray-buying public—they’ve been accused of objectifying women so it’ll be interesting to see if the shoe’s on the other foot.
