Clothes Show Live 2011

As a lucky member of the Keep Me Inspired team, I was whisked off this weekend to the Clothes Show Live at the NEC in Birmingham, I wasn't really sure what to expect as the last time I visited was 15 years ago when I was a moody teenager studying fashion, with army boots and big pink hair.

So I donned my leather trousers and massive cardigan, slapped on some war paint and off I skipped. Being a Saturday I was thinking "what on earth am I doing" but actually it was pretty calm in the morning.

Wondering round the hustle and bustle of beauty and fashion, you'll find different zones which are dedicated to fashion, beauty, cosmetics, treatments and of course the world renowned catwalk shows, I was lucky enough to catch one of the first Red Carpet Shows hosted by Jeff Brazier.

It actually a great place to be inspired especially if you are stuck in a rut with your wardrobe and beauty routine. Some of the biggest brands were offering makeovers and hair styling, but as you can imagine the queues were enormous.

Despite thinking I wouldn't really spend much money, I ended up coming home with 6 bags of goodies.

The Clothes Show is a fantastic way to promote new products and encourage people to try your products and wares.

If you have never been to the Clothes Show it is definitely worth a visit and money well spent, in fact I have managed to pick up a few Christmas presents which would have normally cost me quite a bit on the high street.

One of the highlights of my day was a male model commenting on how much he liked my quiff! There you have it...

One happy, fashion inspired, beauty clad girl
